Hotel Azul

Hotel Azul

Cantabria

The Hotel Azul is located in the seaside village of Suances (Cantabria) next to the Playa de la Cocha and very close to Los Locos Beach.

The remodeling project of the Hotel Azul de Suances (Cantabria) arose from the proposal to transform the old gastronomic space dedicated to weddings into a multipurpose room, where you have room for different spaces: the cafeteria, the restaurant and even the hotel lounge.

The initial space of the hierarchy, both from the aesthetic and spatial point of view, under these circumstances, was considered a total transformation.

One of the elements that most attracted the attention of the space was a large central skylight, forgotten and without any protagonism. This skylight was precisely the point of departure and origin of the project, with the aim of turning it into the great focus of attention of the different spaces.

The first step of the remodeling consisted of a large central bar under the light of the light that caused the skylight, in this way an orderly and easily divisible stay was obtained for its different uses.

Also, as a central place, they are located in a lemon tree below the skylight, they resemble an outdoor patio, they give the environment a natural touch.

The chromatic range of this set was composed of two horizontal planes made of natural materials, rope and wood, to provide warmth; And of white vertical planes that gave luminosity. With the furniture and decoration, simple and harmonious lines, we seek to create focus areas using primary and warm colors such as red and yellow.

The other main element that configured the room was a false ceiling of ropes that were born in the patio, and marked the uses of the different spaces. This solution will consist of a metallic substructure that separated them.

The remodeling of the room was completed with a large wooden floor parallel to the plane of roof ropes, reflecting the linearity and chromaticity of it. Vertical walls are also located for luminosity.

The design of the bar and the trasbarra -located under the skylight- is characterized by presenting clean and simple lines, materialized through glass mosaic coatings by Hisbalit.
