Regma Ice Cream Shop
Santander
New image of Regma , Santander
Regma, the emblematic Cantabrian ice cream shop founded in 1933, has entrusted us with the design of its new premises in Burgos Street in Santander. This space seeks to complete the brand’s change at a graphic and aesthetic level with a new image.
Our goal is to transfer Regma’s most representative values to the design of the premises in a tangible but subtle way, avoiding obvious and direct references.
Concept and identity signs
Regma is well known to us as it is a reference in the north of Spain, but they explain to us that its hallmarks are the naturalness of the ingredients and its chromatic identity that is far from artifice.
These characteristics, together with a geometric abstraction inspired by the imagination of ice cream, are the basis of our project.
To give shape to this concept, we modulated the design around a key geometric figure: a rotated square, “rhombus”. This shape is coherently transferred to ceilings, floors, and façade, generating a unique visual identity in the space.
Choice of materials and textures
The materiality of the store is inspired by the most representative colors and textures of Regma’s ice creams, reinterpreting them in noble and natural materials such as travertine marble, oak, and clay paint.
This trio of materials is joined by stainless steel, an essential element in cold storage, incorporated to maintain the relationship with the ice cream tradition.
The result is a space that immerses the client in the Regma universe abstractly and subliminally. Through the use of colors, textures, and geometries inspired by the product and the brand’s tradition, we achieved a sensory experience that reinforces its identity and evolution.
